There have been some questions about butt naked vs. buck naked. Those who grew up saying butt naked can't seem to fathom that they were wrong about it for so many years. It's hard to admit that something you believed for so long is not correct. So, many pro butt-nakedites have even claimed that buck naked is wrong because they don't know what the buck part means. I did some basic research on this topic. (ie I searched google for about 5 mins) If you search google you will find that there are a lot of people wondering about this one. From what I read, the term has its origins in the slave trade. Male slaves were referred to as bucks and they were paraded naked on the auction blocks. This explanation makes the most sense and reminds us what a terrible blight on humanity the slave trade was. So it may be that butt naked is the PC term for buck naked, but I think it's mostly that people don't know what buck naked means so they say butt naked because if you are naked then your butt is exposed. Or maybe they just heard it wrong? If you can prove otherwise, please email.
